Micheál Lacey has been operating as a professional philosophical counsellor since 2007 and he is director and founder of Philosophical Counselling Ireland. At present, he is contemplating taking a sabbatical from counselling in order to pursue a PhD on the methodological challenges facing metaphysics. Pursuing philosophy academically with a Jesuit college, Milltown Institute of Theology and Philosophy, he achieved the highest possible award for his Master’s dissertation which was conducted through research and focused on problems in the philosophy of science and psychotherapy.
